DLP Business Process Analyst

Visual Connections, LLC seeking a DLP Business Process Analyst. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  As a Business Analyst, you will help oversee various business and project management initiatives.  You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve business objectives.  The successful candidate will be key in driving operational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. 

Duties:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document, analyze, and map current business processes related to data protection, sensitivity tagging, and information security. Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for improvement. 

  • Engage with project teams and stakeholders to elicit and document clear and comprehensive business requirements. Ensure that requirements are well-defined, traceable, and aligned with project objectives. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement streamlined, efficient, and compliant business processes. Identify opportunities for automation and integration to enhance operational efficiency. 

  • Ensure that business processes align with organizational policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements related to data loss prevention and cybersecurity. 

  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including process flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process improvement plans. Maintain accurate records of process changes and updates. 

  • Analyze data related to business processes to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization. Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for process enhancements. 

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, or a related field.  

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Process Analyst or similar role 

  • Familiarity with data loss prevention (DLP) and cybersecurity concepts is a plus. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
